For emerging and established Australian creatives across disciplines

UTS Library is inviting applications for its 2027 Creative in Residence program, offering one creative practitioner the opportunity to develop and deliver a new work that engages with the Library's spaces, culture and community.

The six-month residency provides $15,000 in remuneration plus a separate $5,000 materials budget, alongside curatorial, installation, promotional and public programming support.

Open to creatives across disciplines, applicants do not need to be affiliated with UTS. The successful applicant will be expected to engage with the university community and spend time working on-site at the Library.

Applications close: 26 October 2026, 5 pm AEDT (2 pm AWST)
Residency dates: Approximately March–September 2027
Location: Sydney, New South Wales
Eligibility: Open to creatives without UTS affiliation; interstate applicants welcome
