If you can’t see it, you can’t be it.
It can be tough for young creatives, especially from minority backgrounds, to see themselves in the creative industry. Representation matters— when the industry doesn’t reflect you, it’s hard to imagine your place in the field. As Marian Wright Edelman (civil rights activist) wisely put it, “You can’t be what you can’t see.”
So, how do we inspire young creatives to dream big? REPRESENTATION!
Project See & B aims to increase visibility in the creative industry for young people from under-represented backgrounds. It’s based on the simple notion that if you CAN see it, you CAN be it.
